My name is Kelly, I’m a 25 year old woman who enjoys photography, drawing and painting.
I graduated from university in 2014 with a BSc in Wildlife Conservation and Zoo Biology and I currently work as a medical receptionist in a busy GP practice. I also regularly volunteer my time to many animal related charities. I live with my partner, 3 dogs and 5 cats. I am also getting married on the 13th of June 2016.
I have been living with endometriosis since roughly 2003 and I was diagnosed in January 2015 after laparoscopic surgery.

Thank you for adding "Girl who walks on fire" to your collection. This is one of my most personal pieces, and I am glad to see it appreciated. I wrote it for my sister (she was 18) when she found out she may be infertile and was given disability status. She was devastated, and angry, and she felt like no one understood what she was going through. And many people didn't. I wanted to show my support for her struggle, and for the thousands of other woman and girls who have suffered just as she had.
There are so few people who even know what endometriosis is, and the awareness is so low, it is no wonder. I wanted to shout it from the rooftops so people would support her and every one of her sisters in the battle against endometriosis and ignorance.
And so thank you.
